This Privacy Policy explains how CT Roof & Masonry Network ("we", "us", "our"), operator of connecticutroofingandmasonry.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. By using the Site or submitting a request through it, you agree to this Policy.
Please read this first. CT Roof & Masonry Network is an independent directory and referral service. We are not a contractor and we do not perform home improvement work. The core purpose of this Site is to pass your request to independent third-party contractors so that they can contact you. If you do not want your information shared with contractors, do not submit a request form.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information. Please do not include such information in free-text fields.
We share the information in your request with partner contractors. This is the point of the service. When you submit a request, we may share your name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code, city, selected service, urgency and project description with one or more independent third-party contractors, contractor networks, or lead-management platforms that serve your area.
Those contractors are independent businesses and separate data controllers. Once your information has been transmitted to them, their own privacy practices govern how they use it, and this Policy no longer controls it. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how a contractor stores, uses, retains or further discloses your information. If you want a contractor to delete your information or stop contacting you, you must contact that contractor directly, asking us will not remove it from their systems.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, sharing your request with partner contractors in exchange for compensation may be treated as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under some state privacy laws. See Section 8 for your rights, including the right to opt out.
When you check the consent box and submit a request form, you expressly consent to be contacted by CT Roof & Masonry Network and by the partner contractors to whom your request is transmitted, at the telephone number you provided. That consent covers calls and text messages, including calls placed using an automatic telephone dialing system, calls using an artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS messages, and it applies even if the number you provide is on a federal or state Do Not Call registry.
Consent is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services. You can request quotes without agreeing to automated contact by calling us instead at (800) 555-0207.

You may revoke your consent at any time, by any reasonable means. Specifically:
Revoking consent with us stops contact from us. Because contractors are independent businesses, you may also need to revoke consent directly with any contractor that has already contacted you. We will honour a revocation request within a reasonable time, and in any event within the period required by applicable law. Revocation does not apply retroactively to messages already sent, and we may still send you a message confirming the revocation.
The Site uses only what is necessary to function and to measure traffic. We do not require you to accept advertising cookies to use the Site. Where campaign parameters are present in a URL you clicked, we record them with your submission as described above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; the Site remains usable if you do. Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, and where applicable law requires it, we treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing.
We retain request records for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, typically to service the request, to keep a record of consent as required by telemarketing rules, to resolve disputes, and to comply with legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. Consent records are generally retained for at least the period required by applicable federal and state law.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code); commercial information (the service requested and its urgency); internet or network activity (user agent, page URL, campaign parameters); and geolocation at the city or ZIP level only. Each category may be disclosed to partner contractors and to service providers for the business purposes described in Section 2. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Rhode Island, Indiana and Kentucky, as those laws come into force, generally have rights to confirm whether we process their personal data, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, of the sale of personal data, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Where a state law provides an appeal process for a refused request, you may appeal our decision using the contact route in Section 11, and we will respond within the statutory period.
As a Connecticut-focused site, we note specifically that Connecticut residents hold these rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act.
Submit a request through the contact route in Section 11, stating which right you are exercising and providing enough information for us to locate your record, typically the telephone number and email address you submitted. We will verify your identity by matching the details you provide against our records before acting. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorisation. We do not charge a fee for a reasonable request.
Because contractors are independent controllers, a deletion or opt-out request made to us does not automatically apply to information already transmitted to a contractor. You will need to contact that contractor directly.
The Site is not directed to children and is intended for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site may link to third-party websites, and contractors who contact you will have their own websites and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance.
